What is Camp Hope? Camp Hope is a revolutionary idea brought about by myself and David S. to create not a homeless shelter but a homeless community with cabins that the homeless can call their own. Unlike Cornerstone or other similar programs, the homeless would WORK to OWN their own CABIN HOME. This would be a community of disenfranchised chronically homeless being rehabilitated through work, progressive housing, community, and hope. Camp Hope is also based on the idea that private property is fundamentally flawed. Most landlords didn't get to where they are - that is, owning 14 houses and you own none - by the sweat of their brow. They were born into money and bought property and the domino effect took held. EVERYONE DESERVES A HOME THAT IS THEIRS.

Camp Hope is in the very early stages of realization, but we have spoke with property owners, and some potential sponsors. These are the people we need on a volunteer basis:

• Grant researchers and Grant Writers: People willing to both put our vision into words that will make grant donators as excited about it as we are. People willing and have the know-how on how to search for grants.

• Other volunteers that can help take our vision and run with it. Progressive thinking people who want something better besides filthy, underfunded homeless shelters, and are willing to help structure the idea into a reality.
